Build me a PC

Well its time to upgrade by once uber elite computer of 2001 is now completely obsolete so I need new machine. Im completely out of the loop on computer technology now and want your suggestions

So this is the drill i've got about 2K to 2.2K and need a decent gaming system.
It must be able to handle the latest games well and support my flight simming addiction and run XP Pro.

I would prefer an AMD System it must have at least 120GB of HDD space, a DVD burner, a regualar DVD Reader, Good Quality sound (not crappy AC 97'), 17" LCD Monitor and have a decent case. Id prefer good quality parts, id prefer quality over speed but I dont want a complete sloth.

Dont worry about speakers, printer or scanners, I've already got some good stuff.
