Default Bosch Module

Anybody know the workings of the Bosch Module in recent Ford vehicles, especially the BA Falcon and SX Territory? How do the two communicate and what role do they play in getting traction control/abs/Hill Descent/Stability Control working?

I am wanting to install a Falcon BA XR6T PCM and motor into a Territory SX AWD and wondering if it would plug and play or do the extra features rely on the PCM?
