Just to add my $0.02 I wouldn't go any bigger than 245 on a 7" rim. That will give you the best part 1" of side wall bulge which is heaps. I have 265's on 8" rims and the side wall bulge is 1". Any more than that and while it arguably may look good it would be a pig to drive.
