I would like to improve the sound stage at the front of the car as the basic system is poor.
Do Ford use a full two way cross over on the Premium sound for the front splits or just a simple bipolar capacitor to split the tweeter ? Ford sell the tweeters and the mouldings with the tweeter grills. The mouldings are roughly $40 each and the tweeters $55 each. Does any one at ASL have any specification on the genuine Ford tweeters ? On paper, it looks viable to add the tweeters ( Ford or aftermarket ) and perhaps change the front door speakers ( mid range drivers ) to better quality units. ( with same wattage rating ). If this was viable and yielded an improvement, then dual cones in the rear doors may help even more. I would appreciate any detailed technical advice as Ford wiring diagrams and detailed audio specifications are not available to the public for FG's. Cheers
