Ford AU Sat nav help needed

Greetings all

I'm a newbie and hoping someone can help me out in regard to the sat nav system fitted standard to the AU LTD series 2.
I'm planning on retro-fitting this system into my series 1 LTD but am having dramas trying to locate the correct unit.
I have been told it is a VDO Dayton MS5000...does anyone know if this is correct?
I have been in contact with Ford and they can only supply me with obsolete part numbers,although apparently still available from vendor.
When I asked who the vendor is,they had no idea and couldn't even tell me if it was VDO
Does anyone know the model number of this system?
