Default log book info to ask mechanic

Im putting my ford in for a service and brake and driveline checkup.
Im trying to use the same oils every time i do oil grease changes etc.
In the industrial engineering environment in which i work im used to requesting a written record of absolutely everything that has been done on machines i design. so what sort of log book info should i expect from my mechanic?
Is asking the just oil grade and brand too little, and is asking what brand and specification of bearings too much?
what sort of info is good to ask a mechanic without being a pain in the ИИИИ?
cheers
