Exactly how was it a disaster?

The FTA was introduced in 2005, the GFC struck around this time and by 2008, Mullaly announced the 'One Ford' policy and this killed our Falcon/Territory, the first domino to fall in the AU car industry and it was only a matter of time before the other two announced their intentions as they are reliant on each other to a degree.
