Default Opinions on Dual Clutch auto boxes

After others thoughts and experiences with dual clutch auto boxes.
I currently drive a car with one and find it awful in stop start driving. Shuddering, roughness and an overall feeling that the gearbox is weak.
Looking at buying a late model medium sized sedan for the mrs and struggling to find something that is turbo and doesn't have a DSG type box.
Dual clutch boxes seem to be very popular with one of their upsides being better fuel economy which yes I've found is the case but the roughness as I've described above makes them something I'd probably rather avoid.

Anyone else have similar experiences with them?
