Default Re: Road Trip Advice/Suggestions/Thoughts

Trip so far has run pretty well. Filled up in Bairnsdale, then stopped at the Mitta Mitta General Store for a homemade chunky beef and stout pie for lunch.

A pic heading across the Bethanga Bridge:

And a wee stop somewhere along the Murray River Road:

Stopped in Tumut to fill up the beast at reasonable prices.

All the roads have generally been pretty good, the run from Omeo to Mitta Mitta was surprisingly so. Worst road was probs Burra Road heading north of Gundagai. Not that there were many potholes, just that some sections were pretty narrow and not exactly very smooth. Suspension has sure had a workout.

Nowhere near as many potholes as I expected. Most seemed to have at least been patched, with some pretty big sections completely replaced.

Big drive, but loved the variations in the scenery.

Only hiccup has been that there was no accommodation available in harden where I had planned to stop overnight, so I have ended up in Binalong. Rather appropriate as it has binalong day
