Just thought I would share my experience with my busted power window motor that went the other day. Well being like most people I took the trim off to find the power windows cable system flopping around and not doing a whole lot when pressing the window switch, now about this time I start thinking all the possible ways of fixing it, first was the easy way, get a price from Ford, they wanted $560 to fix it which include the $380 to buy the motor ===> NO WAY !!! So went to the wreckers they said they would not supply me with a second hand unit..... : .....but they would sell me an aftermarket unit for $120 or $200 fitted....now it took me two seconds to decide on getting him to install it and the beauty is, that the aftermarket unit fits EA to EL, so just a bit of "just in case" info for the rest of the E-series drivers.
