with regards to plates, could not care less... each to his/her own, if you want to spend $300-$500 for "ford" or whatever I say go for it.. I actually wonder if 1/2 the plates are bought/used and then resold at a higher cost as a investment, I mean some of these guys that have 5+ plates like HSV001, HOTHSV, or eqiv, have $1000 bucks on them.

I don't think people should be able to buy persoanlised plates, without putting them on a car.. that is to say, you can not go and buy 5 plates and not have them going on a car. not that the gov gives a toss more money for them, but people that "profit" up on these plates are annoying.. IMHO.

much like the old days of domain registrations, everyone bought up www.nike.com or big company names, in the hope that when the rest of the world caught up, they could sell it on at a massive profit... which I do belive has changed now!
