Hey Everybody,
I have a 96 EF Falcon and I think i have blown a hole in the side of my head. Well I have cause there is a large amount of coolant coming out the side. I got a quote from Ford themselves of $1500 to fix the head that I have on it now. But I priced it to be cheaper to just buy a reconditioned head. I was wondering what other E series head I could drop onto it without any change to parts but with an increase in power. I heard somebody say that an AU head fits on and gives a fair increase in power.... Is this true? Can somebody help???? Cheers

depends how much money you want to spend on the project. if you want a positive increase in power, Id be calling the guys at Jim Mock Motorsport as they have mail order heads. you might as well get one that has been tickled and polished and why not add a dev cam to it as well?
that way you will kill 5 birds with 1 stone and you have a fantastic excuse to do it!!! Im just waiting for the bottom end in my car to spill on the road so i can get some new bits!!! let us know how you go

1500 bux!!! that's a joke! I just sold a perfectly good EF head on ebay for 80 bux lol. If I was you, I'd get another EF/EL/AU head from the wreckers/for sale section and drop it off at JMM. For 1500 you can get Dev 5 work done!
