R.I.P. Doc. The Angels were the first live band I ever saw, the Maroubra seals club, early 80s. That night left an indelible impression on me and it was Doc who made it unforgettable. An incredible front man who had the crowd in the palm of his outstretched sweaty hand from the first note from Ricks guitar to the last beat of buzzs' drum following an extended version of Marseilles in the encore. Saw the band many, many, many times over the next 25 - 30 years with Doc still stealing the show. An amazing performer the likes of which we will never see again. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Godspeed my friend.

Remember seeing The Angels at Festival Hall in Brisbane back in the day. Were a awesome live band, and could he bang out the vocals!

I saw The Angels at Blacktown RSL in the early eighty's (Shadow Boxer era) & fair dinkum best band i ever saw - better than the Gunners (G&R) i saw at Eastern Creek a couple years later (they were awesome also that night!).
Rip Doc, you gave it your all in life & i'm sure you'll give it your all in heaven! cheers, Maka
