Has anyone cleaned their MAF sensor?
If so did you feel a difference afterwards?

I have, but it mustnt have been too dirty, as I felt no difference at all. Im sure it would have an effect if it is dirty.

I did to the old old MAF, used CRC MAF cleaner.
Their claim of 10 extra hp was crap though.

I've used the CRC MAF cleaner aswell on 3 of my cars.
I didn't notice any difference after cleaning it, just done it as a bit car maintenance. I reckon if the maf was really dirty you would, but if it's pretty clean, like the others have mentioned, you wont notice a differance. |

Well I did it on the TE50 and the XR8. Didn't notice any difference on the T but the XR8 seemed to idle better and run a little better(it's one looked dirty). Did my Mazda 323 SP20 as well and notice a massive difference as well.

Some photos whilst apart on the XR8
First picture is of the tool kit required to do the job. T20H is the right size. ![]() XR8 MAf sensor in place ![]() CRC MAF sensor cleaner ![]() When removed you can see the two wires that you need to spray to clean but never touch them! ![]()
