Default Electrical Issues

ahoyhoy fellow Eseries members this post is on behalf of my brother,

He bought an EB fairmont on the weekend all is rather well except for the nightlights, the entire instrumentation lights can seldomly stop working, sometimes its fine othertimes not, when the door is open and the interior light is on, the lights are perfect. when the door is closed he tries the lights again, they flash and there is a ticking noise similar to an indicator they than stop displaying.

Any ideas?

a photo of the vehicle for your trouble ;)

Thats tidy man, congrats to your ИИИ.

As for your electrical problem...

I would say that a relay is on the way out.

replace the relay and give it another go...

Cheers.

I think the accessory relays are in the fuse box...

its a panel infront of where your right knee would be in the drivers side...
