Just remember murphys law, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Doesnt matter if you have the car in the shop every second week. New or old cars can still let you down when you least expect it. I guess too, some of us would love to keep cars completetly up to scratch but in this day and age money is scarce, labour and time is expensive and wages are low. Sometimes things get missed.

Oh just the globe, I'm fixing that today Also gonna get one of those stupid rubber brake pedal covers.
Why does NSW require a little itty bit of rubber on your brake pedal for a pink slip?! I suppose the theory is that your foot could slip on the metal right? Maybe it's more slippery when it's wet? Bit of an odd one methinks.

Plenty of things go wrong on older cars. Try driving a Ghia! There are plenty more things that can go wrong. I've had to replace a power window and get another one repaired twice. Also, I had a bizarre problem where the compressor for my Self Levelling Suspension started up and didn't switch back off. It jacked the back of the car right up. It looked stupid, and didn't ride the bumps too well! Lucky the problem was only minor and was fixed by a cable tie! I also have dodgy cruise control buttons. Other problems were a thermostat jammed open, a blocked heater core, a dodgy o-ring caused my aircon to leak out all the gas, I've had to replace two low-beam globes, and due to a dodgy switch, I lost all brake lights. The worst thing is that my car is now showing the early signs of a head gasket going. Other than that my car has always got me from a-to-b (except for when I crashed it, and when I lost a wheel)

Update... have booked the car in for tomorrow to get a shyteload of stuff done to her even though nearly all of it is not a requirement for rego. It just needs to be done. You wouldn't believe the list!!!
Then comes the converter, then finally, REGO. OMG we're just ignoring the credit card statement at the moment, cos there is no choice - it has to be done. The car is going to be mine in the next couple of months, and it has to be safe and roadworthy for me and the kids... SO! Where to fit a sub or two, gentlemen?! LPG tank in the way... gimme ideas!

Best of luck with it. If paying labour, it is very wise to replace everything that could go wrong in the area. I had a mechanic fix a water pump in the Laser the other day and was mighty ****ed when I realised I could/would have replaced engine mounts and heaps of other worn stuff at the same time. What a waste of money. :(
Regarding the sub, I think a box that isn't necessarily fixed to anything is the easiest way. I was going to do it this way even before I decided on an LPG conversion. |

Ok I will have to go looksying at subs and see what size I want and where I can fit them. I put my amp (in the rolla) under the front passenger seat but I may end up putting this in the boot. I might put a post up in another section about it Thanks guys.

Hey Brent, I know I will be happy with her one day very soon, it's getting closer now as she's feeling alot better to drive already. Maybe she'll love me since I am the one taking her to all the places to get fixed, and I lovingly washed her the other day, and put a nice pic of her on here...
Yes, well since she's gonna be mine soon, she's gotta bloody well get used to it! : :

ok Bindi if you want 2 subs in your car then just get 2 10" subs and get someone to build you 2 seperate boxes and mount them on either side of the boot between the wheelarch and the back of the boot itself.( where you access the jack and wheel brace) and stick your amp under the seat like you had in the 'rolla'. If they are done right you will still have a almost fully usable boot and you will still get plenty of bass inside your car.
