Hi Folks,
I have an AU falcon that needs a new engine and trans. I can get them both at a good price, but need to be sure I can use an EF trans on an AU engine. Can some one who has mated an AU engine (bottom end) to an e series trans advise what was required? I am told that there may be issues with the sump area. |

As long as you use the AU Bellhousing there should be no problem.. I fitted an AU motor to an EA Trans fine

GREAT.
I had it around the wrong way. I Though you needed the bellhousing from the car the trans comes from. It sounds as if it is around the other way, you need the AU bellhousing and can then mate any of the Eseries trans to the AU. |
