Yes thought we had decided to look at a different weekend for the Highland cruise.

If that is the case, how about a club BBQ at the Cotter on the 26th April, could cruise out thru Tharwa to the Cotter have lunch and have a bit of time get to meet everyone. :
What are your thoughts?

Cheers Barnesy.

Meeting point will be at the rear carpark of Old Parliament House again. Meet at 11.15am for an 11.30am departure.

As there won't be too many of us, BYO food, drinks and chair (we should be able to grab one of the BBQs out there).

I am but new to this forum so I hope you dont mind me plodding along. I usually head to the cotter for the Mini runs and brekkies. Will give me something to look forward to for the 26th.

I am excited - the first run in the XR8...hopefully many more to come.

Come along mate and see if you like us all first . Im sure someone will have a membership form you can fill out. If the treasurer is there you might be able to pay membership, but best bet would probably be next meeting.

Whats not owing a V8 have to do with not coming along? I don't have a V8, and I don't even have a 6 Cyl. It's the FPV & XR owners of ACT not the V8 owners club. And you don't need a V8 to be a member. You are eligible.

If you're interested in joining, its probably easiest to bring your money and membership form along to one of our meetings. That way, you can get everything recorded and grab a receipt.

With regards to cruises, on occasions the club will organise the BBQ and drinks and you can just purchase them (money goes to our club charity). In this case, you'll need to bring:

* Meat
* Drinks
* Chair

I'll bring along sauce, bread, napkins and cooking tools. Oh and don't forget your UHF radio!

Richard,

I have the box of goodies you are referring to which I'll get to you in the event I can't get to the starting line on Sunday. By the way, there are roadworks between the Cotter and Stromlo.

Is it still happening - I managed to rope in a ring in from my new place of work (he is my supervisor who owns an XR6 Turbo) so will meet at OPH at 1115 as gazetted.

Do you need anything brought?

Yes, still meeting at OPH at 11.15am. As mentioned before, just bring:

* Meat
* Drinks
* Chair

One of us will be bringing bread, sauce, cooking utensils and probably a couple of salads as well.

If Northsiders want to meet at Old Parliament House and then head off at 11.30am, a few of us Southsiders will meet you at Lanyon McDonalds on the way through. We'll be ready to go from 11.45 onwards.

And yes it looks like it may be a tad chilly, so dress warm!

And boy was it cold , 10dgs it said on the radio as you guys pulled out of the car park...

Was nice to meet the couple of you who were there, Bronnie and myself will be at the next club meeting, and we (when i say we, i mean just me) will be willing to brave any sort of weather to go for a cruise ;)

Hope the weather at the cotter was nicer than it was at Lanyon.

Cheers!

Scott.

Thumbs up Wet & Wild

What a day, with Snags sizzling, teeth chattering and a wet cruise to get there, congrats to the brave hearts who made the effort to make it to the cruise. To put up with wind, rain (and luckily a spot of sunshine) we should commend each other. My crew said it was a fun day and it was. Nice to have a chat and meet people. Looking forward to an open fire at the Captains Flat Pub. :
