Really great, even a CGI of an Arnie Terminator at one stage. Action all the way, go see it, Star Trek too.

From what I have heard it is pretty poor in comparison to the other Terminator films (T3 didn't happen, don't tell me otherwise...) with a crappy story and HUUURRRR HURRRRR Micheal Bay explosions.
What else could you expect with a script written from those who wrote T3 and the director of "Charlie's Angels"?

The problem with T3 was it was to similar to T2 i thought. Especially the first half of the movie.
Will probably wait until Salvation comes out on DVD |

Was going to post youtube's Bale rant on set but then I'd probably be banned for it. :p
Looking forward to it but been an avid Chronicles watcher but felt that they may clash with each other... and John Connor was a whiny b&*ch. The whole story behind the franchise is interesting to me. I'm hoping they've done it justice. |

I thought it was a really great movie. If anyone's played Fallout 3 it's remarkably similar (environment wise) to that... except without VATS.
The plot wasn't all that great (obligatory love plot thrown in for the sake of it, etc) but in the end it didn't really matter, because it was a intensely entertaining. |

I watched it the other nite, I thought it was by far the WORST of all the films.
T1 was by a million miles the best, T2 was great too except that annoying kid (Furlong or what ever his name is) T3 was ok, maybe a bit weak, but at least it sort of kept with the others. TS was the re-boot from hell where the only bit I liked was the story about the 600/800 series terminators getting used/developed. The idea of the death row guy being part machine/man etc just didnt work, and the rest of the story was just a cobble together job. My rating....1 out of 10. Glad I downloaded it and didnt waste dollar 1 at a cinema for that crap. At least the Star Trek re-boot was done quite well, even tho I preferred the tradditional setup better.

I saw it last night and loved it. I'm a big fan of military stuff and when they used the A-10s I new it was going to be good for me.
The suprise of having a certain Terminator in it was brilliant I had no idea. Its already been spoiled in one of the above posts. T3 was rubbish. This one has rejuvenated the franchise. Bale was brilliant although never ever get into a helicopter with him. Great story which will lead into another 2 movies. I gave it a solid 8/10. I would of given more if a certain terminator was in it more and if there was a little more action like seen in the glimpses of the future in T1 and T2. Loved it. One thing I will say is I bet my left nut that it will extended/uncut in the DVD version. There were scenes left out that were in the preview trailers and there wasn't much blood. This was M rated but on DVD I reckon it will get MA15+ on it.

Just came back from it. Enjoyable flick but I still, after all this time, am unable to wrap my head around the.. I have to send Kyle Reece back in time to get my mother up the duff so I'll exist which is key to the franchise.
It was interesting where they went with Sam Worthington but don't want to give away too many spoilers. Good to see a hometown boy be the focus of a Terminator movie. Outshone Bale by a mile. |

Its got the Star Trek time loop that has to happen, chicken and the egg type thing.
But hey its sci-fi not real. Just let it ride suspend your disbelief and enjoy an entertaining action flick. I think the 2nd and 3rd Terminators coming out of this new trilogy will have a lot more action in it.

I thought it was okay, my brain exploded from trying to wrap my head around the timeline, but besides that point, was entertaining.
I did enjoy when the radio is used and "You could be mine" comes on, thought that was a nice touch.

Yeh season 2 ended leaving it wide open for season 3, but Fox canned it. Viewers dropped by half in the second season in the US.
