Default Nazism photographs

Hello, all

(I'd like to point out that I am in no way a national socialist)

I have an avid interest in Nazism and its something I study and read about as a hobby of mine (since i was around 9).

At the moment Im trying to add to my rather large collection of images of germany between 1922 and 1945. (mainly of arcitechture)

So i was wondering if anyone on the forum shared similar interests and perhaps had any photographs they would like to share.

Im also interested in nazi building now years later (i have several of the Zeppelin Stadium and any of this stadium would be appreciated)

Hmm, I don't really collect pictures but do re-enact WW2 Military history and play a German soldier. I am a member of Geelong Military Historical Society and Living History Federation Of Australia and there are many members who collect pictures etc of war history including that period of Germany. I have a few on my home pc.

What is the difference in architecture and other stuff of the same years.

I know hitler was a mad perfectionist. and wanted the biggest and best everything.

I am in the building industry, and have worked with them old germans. and they were all perfectionist. they knew what they were doing as everything ran smoothly. and you got payed!

Sad to say it, but we aussies are hopeless fools in comparison.
In my 30 years in the building industry, the last 5 years i have come across so many of the biggest bunch of absolute fools, i could ever of imagined.

I would be interested in their schooling system. i have nearly fallen over backwards. listening to them converse. and the best one's were jewish germans.

Speer (hitlers architect, was a genious) he would design buildings in a certain way. With considerations made to what the buildings would disintegrate to in 2000 years and how the ruins would look.

The mock up m odel of hitlers new Berlin which he named "Germania" was the pinacle of speers work

Funny you mention this , I can't agree more that old school germans are perfectionists !. I did the last 2 years of my fitting and turning trade with a toolroom full of germans years ago, I learned more from these guys in 2 years than anyone for the rest of my years doing the trade. Unfortunatelly they were all a bit arrogant though and morning tea/ lunch / and arvo smoko allways comprised of a slab of beer for each between the toolroom workers, health and safety would of done their nut these days. I'm suprised I didn't loose a finger or more back then as I was half ****ed most of the time from them feeding me beers and wasn't even 18 ! .

he was also a bit of a copycat - Many of the worlds most famous landmarks were copied and made grander in Speers vision of Berlin EG: The Arc de Triomphe, St Peters Cathedral etc etc.

IBROX: If you have foxtel look up a show called Hitlers Bunkers(i think) on the History channel. It has heaps of great information on the buildings, bunkers and castles built towards the end of the war in Berlin.

I was trying to find some info on the net but i couldnt find any.. It aired about a month ago.

heres a news article about Speers models
