I have got an EF owners manual and an EL owners manual, was just reading both.
In the EF one on pg 119(tyre and load specifications) it shows that GLi , Futura, XR series , fairmont, and ghia have P205/65 R15 tyres but as an option the XR series got P255/50 ZR16 tyres. Arent these tyres wide? or is it a printing mistake. In the EL one on pg 121(tyre and load specifications) it shows that GLi , Futura, XR series , fairmont, and ghia have P205/65 R15 tyres but as an option they all got P225/50 R16 tyres, which sounds about right, did the EF XR series come with P255/50 ZR16 tyres. Also, these pages show rim codes, foer eg: 6.00J, 7.00J, 6.50J, are these the width of the rim in inches? |

J stands for Safety Rim. Because the lip on the wheel looks like a J from the side
The 15x6.00J is 15" by 6", 15x7.00J is 15" by 7" |
