They should be good for atleast 40,000k's.
If yours arent lasting id say you were overtightening the nut.

just as a tip. with the seal on the inside, make sure you drive it fully home so it bottoms out....
Otherwise setting the preload wont be accurate.

240,ooo .. orig front bearings........ they should last ages aslong as no dirt gets to them, and there re-packed with grease..
