you dont need to modify the firewall for this conversion.
EA --> EL will fit coz u can modify the sump.. AU has a Cast alloy sump and u cant modify it. but some Late EL motors have AU internals.. and the AU non VCT head fits on EA -- EL Blocks.... |

falcon motors the bowl is @ the front.
to get into a cortina it needs to be @ the rear. as to figuring that out. u just need to play around with it. i dunno about EL head gasket troubles.. have a look around and see on the forums if people were having trouble with them.. |

Its not as easy as you would think. I looked into this and with all the **** farting around its easier to drop in an xf injected motor (bolts straight into the 250 mounts) and turbo that.
Theres a guy here in perth who has used an ED xr6 engine. Goes hard but there was alot of effort involved. Check out his site: http://www.spyderbyte.com.au/index2.htm Hes also on the cortina forum at under the username "tarahymen" I think it is.: http://www.fordaustraliaforums.com/f...splay.php?f=23 |
