I should have mentioned that 22 cars will be meeting at Thornleigh, whilst the other 16 will be coming down from Newcastle. Still a lot to try and fit into the Thornleigh Macca's car park, but fortunately we will have reserved parking at Trackside in Gosford for the 38 cars

The RS had over 400 bucks worth of work done to it to attend this cruise, including a new custom twin core radiator. No more cooling problems now!

See you all tomorrow morning.

Real foggy outside at the moment, car's gonna need some final detailing before I head off! Dang I shouldn't have stayed out so late last night either!

What'a cruise! it was an enjoyable one for me. Good to see the ppl that made it to the cruise. Old Pacific Hwy. is always fun to drive on..... until some of us got stuck behind a pickup, a truck, an L plater...etc.

La Porchetta(sp?) was pretty good, I'd drive to Gosford just for that. There were some great models at the die-cast model shop, but unfortunately they didnt stock the model I was planning to get.

The drive back to Sydney was an interesting one, but it's all good. Finally got back onto the freeway, I saw some people turned off to pacific hwy. in the beginning of the freeway. Eventually the traffic was banking up on the freeway so I too turned off to pacific hwy.

Anyways, another great cruise by the ClassicFord people. Thanks for inviting Eurofordclub along!.

Excellent cruise, had a great deal of fun and was good to see such a huge turnout and a variety of Euro Fords across different eras. Old Pac was ok, I hope the video footage turns out Damo, let us know I wouldnt' mind seeing it some time.

La Porchetta was pretty good, though the wait to be served, and then, get our food seemed an eternity, those hot rocks or whatever they're called were great. The DieCast shop was also a good stop, and thanks to them for opening for us. I could've spent some money there!

The trip home was ok, I took a wrong turn (or so I thought) and ended up on the Old Pac again up until the Calga Interchange, where I jumped back onto the F3. Traffic only became a problem where there were some roadworks and on the way down to Brooklyn... there must be a policy of 'Keep Right Unless Undertaking' on that freeway though cos I had to keep passing everyone on the left.

Seemed to take forever to get home, but was a great day. Got a fair few photos, will try and post them up some time.

Thanks all those involved!

Dan

I just got home also, the RS's debut cruise was a good one. The car performed flawlessly and was extremely fun to drive. It's first time out with that suspension / tyre and the brand new engine (only 1000kms on the clock going into today) meant that it was a bit of an experimental run, see how it all performed, and I'm really happy. I was able to really get alot of confidence in the car, and only once did the car get a little unsettled on a really big pothole, and even then it was at the end of the F3 northbound on my way home, at the roadworks. Is it just me or does the whole smegging state seem to be in roadworks at the moment? It's friggin annoying (but needed).

I really enjoyed being out with you guys again, the lunchtime venue was great (other than the wait but they did entertain us with cars crashing) and the model shop was good also. I could easily blow a hell of alot of cashticles there. In fact I did. And free Ford undies, I'm any womans now, who can resist? If I wasn't married that is.

:monkes:

Really good to see all you guys again, and won't be as long in between drinks now that RS is back on the road.

Outside the Eurofordclub and there were some great cars there. My favourite were (unsuprisingly) the RS2000s, including the YB Cosworth, that thing is incredible, plus the Escort and Sierra RS Cosworths. I've got to work a way to get me one of those.

It was good to see such variety too, Lotus Cortina to Capri RS3100s and even a Hillman.

Thanks to all that came, and a big thanks to the organisers at ClassicFord, you guys put on yet another great cruise.

I'll have pictures up soon also!

Great to see the Euroford members so enthusiastic. : We will have make sure there is a mix of older and newer fords at all cruises. As always there is never enough time to meet and chat to everyone.

We would all agree that the most important element of these days is that each individual has a good time out in their favourite car. See you at the next cruise.

CheeRS,
Mark.

Mark - it was great being out with you guys (though my RS2000 is more classicford than euroford as it is!), and your RS is crazyness!

Some photos from myself also:

Sorry to dialup users, but I am one, so suck it in.

I had a great day too

Looks like we had about 38 cars turn up to the restaurant as expected. A broad mix of cars representing about 5 decades of Ford's with a late 50's Prefect, a bunch of 60's Mk1 Cortina's, 70's was well covered with plenty of Escort's, Capri's and Cortina's, Sierra Cosworth's covering the 80's, Escort Cosworth from the 90's and ofcourse the current XR5 along with plenty of Fiesta's. It was also great to see the Longhurst/Mezera Benson & Hedges Sierra in the restaurant.

I don't think the restaurant knew what hit them with a sudden influx of 70-80 hungry Ford enthusiasts, but they coped reasonably well and I thought the food was great. :

The trip down to Diecast4U model shop after lunch was also good with a LOT of model cars to gawk at. I had to leave the shop very quickly before I went on a spending spree.

The drive up had some interuptions from L platers etc but there was still plenty of chances to have some fun. Coming back was a much cleaner run on the old road (apart from one wrong turn).

Great to see the EuroFord guys as usual... in strong numbers too :
The Fiesta's did pretty damn well on the trip back down the Old Pacific Hwy.

Nice pics so far. I will try to get some pics up soon too.

Great Day, Great Cars, Great People.

Big thanks to Seano for organising another awesome combined cruise, which went without a hitch. I had a ball and tested the fez out a little bit more even though my tires are on there way out. I was mostly at the back of the pack so didn’t get too see the Astra and L plate driver or the truck coming around the corner but from what Ive heard so far it was eventful and lots of fun.

Was great to see Tim in his RS2000 and coming back to a well deserved cruise for both him and the car. I got to see its cheeky behavior when overtaking the purple escort. Main thing I liked was that the Classic Fords are driven not hidden. It makes you appreciate them more. Driven hard is the way to go too.

The restaurant should definitely be on the cards for a future Euroford destination. Our table was the first to sit down and the last to be served. Food was awesome, tho I did want to order one of everything.

Unfortunately I didn’t get anything at the Die cast shop, but there was some really good stuff there. Drive home was quite relaxing, I missed the old Pac turn off so just headed down the F3 with Josh. But I think everyone kinda went there own way leaving Gosford.

Huge thanks to Eleanor for wicked video footage, it came out great. Video will be uploaded tonight so check for the link laters.

Cheers

Damo

Guys,

Looked like it was another successful Cruise with the Classic Ford Club. I love those Cosworth's! I got back from QLD on Sunday night and enjoyed the day out at QLD Raceway. Didn't see many LR Focus, Fiesta's and the like on the roads but did spot a half a dozen or so LS Focus and XR5 Turbo's up there and not to mention this awesome "Frog Green" Porsche 997 GT3RS in Ann Street, Brisbane with Trade Plates on it!
