Hi all, what are the tricks for changing these belts, particulary the alternator one. I have removed both, and have taken the adjustment back for the power steering, That belt looks to go on just fine and will adjust up.
The Alternator one is still to tight to fit on . Where do I find the extra slack and which is the last pulley that I need to slide the belt onto? I have loosened the mouting bolts and have been adjusting the bolt back. Should I take the bolt out. There is no room to work on this baby. |

you are not alone with this problem
it is possible they supplied you with the wrong belt typical install for any belt is largest pully first then rotate that so the belt will strech over the smallest pully I have had to use a screwdriver as a lever to get the tight belt over the last pully myself

thanks again, she is all good. Took out the adjustment screw all the way and she slipped over the alternator. needed some wire to hook the belts around the lower pulleys.
