Rotisserie

Would like to build a rotisserie for the next project but have never even seen one in person. Does anyone have plans/guidelines/hints for me?

Hi Cowboy

Guy I know "from the Red Circle" area , made one using "2" engine stands , when he'd finished the body , sold one and used the other one to rebuild his motor . When he finished the motor , sold the second stand , eventually ended up costing next to nothing ..

(Awww , I just read that back , NO my names not Roger and I didn'T have 2 turbo cars red & white , sold one , left me with one , but if I didn't sell one I would have 2 ? ? ? Hahaha :togo: )

If you have a look in the project section there are a few guys now with them. Look at uncleraggy and tippy threads.

and there is a member here that dad Builds them .
They are very good and easy to use ...

I think buying would be better then building .. as if something goes wrong and your shell ends up falling on the roof? Then who do you blame ??

Good design but at that price and depending on where you live it would be cheaper to build your own. That's a big item to try to post.

I was thinking of building 1 from some heavy duty engine stands. As I'd just need to extend the neck higher and then make the frame part that goes into the Bumper Bar mounts.

Id probably make the legs wider at least. I can imagine an engine stand would be stable at the width they are normally. Unless you have them laying around, its probably still cheaper to purpose build one though.
