Unhappy This poor old Chev...

I realise this is a ford forum, but most will have respect for these old girls...

Driving around today, and i saw this nice old Chev, great note, and it looked awesome from 10m away...
But after following it (co-incidence) the driver was one of the worst i have seen, cutting people off and hurling abuse in every direction. Plus, there would have been no less than 8 people in it.

I parked near it but wasnt game to get too close and took a couple of pics on the way back, it was in very poor condition up close and looked like ZERO maintenance has gone on with it.

I managed to get 2 pics before a guy popped his head up from the back seat with a joint in his mouth, so it was time to go...

Crunched!

How can some people have cars like this and let them go...?

the joint in his mouth would probably answer the "let them go" question but i see them all the time. in pennant hills there is a dark green landau that looks absolutely monstrous from far away but you get up close and you see dents and rust and cob webs.. it puts a tear to ones eye

On closer look at the pics, is that a bullet hole in the bonnet? Between the LH headlight and centre badge?

For all we know he bought it last week and is planning to restore it, it is a little difficult to judge the situation without knowing a few more details, but yes i agree it is unfortunate to see a car like that in such poor condition.

Rusted out chevys is a cool style. just needs to be rusted all over and more bullet holes imo. maybe some blood splattered on the hood to complete the the 'I KILL YOU IF YOU TAKE PHOTO' look.

I know the car well- we see it around Hornsby and it is in desperate need of saving but the guy that owns it is a little bit unsociable and reckons that he'll sort it one day... offers have been made to buy it but he just nicks off.....i'm not that unfriendly!
Another mate of mine also a forum member has tried the same tactic but the owner is not the most sociable bloke really..! I will persist as it me to tears!

Off subject slightly, still chevy though. Imported a 1955 chev from the states and due to careless container operaters, this happened.

Two containers where dropped. A 1966 mustang convertible and the chev in one. 1970 camaro and a 1963 galaxie in the other. Unfortunatly the camaro was a complete loss.........

Cheers,

Brendon
