Default Need a little help

My name is Philip. I have a F150 with a 4.9l I6 that I'm going to turbocharge one way or another. I came across this thread about a cross-flow head p/n:F3TE6049EB:

http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25296

Would someone be willing to call a local Ford parts and have them look the part number up for this head? I, along with several other 4.9 drivers, would appreciate the help. Thanks.

They make a 4.9l I6 in the states? Is it based on our 4l?

The part no. he wants checked is F3TE6049EB The first section of that pt. no. does not look correct for Ford.

Here is a quote from the other forum;
Quote:
Can any of you folks look up a Ford part number for me?

It's an AU or export head for a 300 I-6. Part No F3TE6049EB.

It's a real cross flow 12 port head!

I've seen photo's and the 300's head gasket is a perfect match. All the threaded bolt holes on the head are metric.

I've got photo's, can't figure out how to post them.

They made a 300 cube I6 for Canadian F-trucks that was a stroked 250 pre-crossflow. Apparently these things go apesh*t with an aussie 250 2V head.

Thanks for the help, yall. I'm planning a turbo upgrade for my truck and one of these heads would really open it up. Here are pics if you didn't register.
