Nah this is official Ford merchandise. Actually it doesn't have shell on it anywhere... I think they are just sold at the servos as a promotion but the are Ford 100%

ok. I went last night to a servo in Mandurah (WA), but they didnt have them and hadn't heard of them, but when I went this morning they said (as mentioned above) that the promo starts tomorrow and lots of stations havent received their stock yet. This IS Australia wide. As for the error on the XW plate, dont complain... errors have a way of becoming very valuable in the future

1 point i found interesting, when i went last night and asked about the Ford plates, not only hadn't they heard about them, but they said "Ford??? they never do Ford. It's always Holden"

could this be an indication that Ford are finally seeing the light re- marketing? I have also noticed a few more Ford ads than normal on tv lately.

Check on ebay at the moment, someones selling the whole set on there (all seperate) for $10 each. I know its $5 more than the retail price, but if it was me that was after them i'd pay that for sure! _2:

Default Coles/Shell Servo "Ford Collector Plates"

I was in the servo shop when I spotted these plates with various Ford muscle cars pictured on them. They are the size of a standard number plate, picture of car on one side and specs printed on the back.
The models featured are XP, XR? XW,XA,XB and XC Cobra. They are $4.95 each, I thought I might get one for my young bloke as I could see an XYGT on one, whoops! The picture is a XY GT, the caption next to it says XW 1969, and on the back it lists the engine as a 351 Windsor, well close but no cigar! Not sure of how right they got all the other models.
Anyone else seen them?
Cheers Dave

The woman behind the counter had not heard of them, but got rather excited about the prospect of them and promptly went asked the boss, They had not put them out yet.

Got 2 sets of six from the shell in singleton. (north of Mandurah) In the display box there was only 5 but upon looking closer I found the sixth set hidden behind another set... so if u only see 5 try sifting through them incase some idiot has put some in front of others.

they still had quite a few left in the stand and i suspect they would have more to keep it stocked up for a while.

Made it in there this arvo to get a set for me and a mate in Bowen, but they didn't have any XB hardtop ones......

If anyone can grab me a couple and send them my way, it would be greatly appreciated! I'll cover all costs of course.

Wipers are the wrong way around too. I if remember right the aerial is also wrong. Situated on the drivers side.
