For all you smokers out there that are wanting to quit look no further than the anti smoking wonder drug "CHAMPIX"

Im a non smoker but my father had been smoking for over 30 years and was close to 2 packs a day and finally quit using Champix after unsuccessfully trying several other products....

My father used champix for a week and a half and unbelivably quit without ANY craving afterwards!!

In order to use Champix, you'll need to get this drug prescribed by your local doctor and once you get it, use the damn thing by following the plan and say goodbye to smoking forever...

cheers

Ive cut right down, was smoking a pack every 2 days now down to 3-4 days.

Find something to keep you occupied, i found i used to go for a drive just to have a smoke because id leave them in my car. Leaving them somewhere not close to you means effort getting up just to have one, most of the time youll find something else to do.

Smile Giving it up

Hi all
I smoked for about 15 years after I left school then in my late twenties I used "medi holders" they looked like the holder the "penguin" used in the TV series of Batman well they worked and I slowly gave them up and never had a smoke for six years or so
then one day I drove another guys truck and waiting for a load I looked in the console for something to read and found a packet of smokes so I thought I would try one yeah right
I went from zero smokes a day to 50 in about one month I think my body was trying to make up for lost time
anyway after another 20 years I went to the doctors and he prescribed "Zyban" well it took me ten days to go from 50 to 60 a day down to zero and havent had one since thats going on 8 years now and never had the urge to go back
It works well but I had some wierd dreams in that first ten days
thanks John

is a month today funny enough ,smoke free no cravings just cold turkey .
In the past have tried patches ,slowing down ,chewy ,breaking routine smokes etc ,nothing works at all unless you really want to give up .

i have finally reached that point where i could just say its over and i am so glad i did ,30-40 a day was getting expensive and at 35 i really wasnt feeling the effects of smoking . i know it sounds hard but just stop ,because believe it or not its killing you .for reference i have smoked for 17 years ....now i can slowly regain my breathing and blood flow ,i am having less muscular pain ,tiredness etc.

hint keep spending the money i have purchased 500 dollars worth of kingchrome this month for visible signs of what i was wasting ,i keep the catalogue with me in my work bag and if i get any thought of craving i look at what im gunna buy next week ,the missus understands this as it was wasted moneys anyway,
so for the next couple months i should get up a fair swag of tools as a reminder ...win win really and good luck

Good idea that!

Starting some light exercise helps too you can really feel the effects of not smoking.

I've also heard everything tastes better..

I noticed after i started smoking that things i could smell - i now couldnt. For instance - my girlfriend at the time. She used to smell delightful, you know that smell you can only sniff when you get up close and personal lol.
But after i started smoking i slowly lost the ability to notice her scent.. - sounds odd but i really missed that smell lol..

I use Champix last time I gave up, they worked well, but I really wasn't really wanting give up at that stage, so started again shortly after..

Have just given up grog and ciggies, been a 10 days free of both so far! (woo for me!) I have started a excercize routine which keeps be busy on top of work / 2 kids etc.

Combine the above with healthy eating, and I feel the best i have for a long time.

Its all about WANTING to give up, I had a close family friend die of a heart attack at 65, that was enough of a wakeup call for me!

vanman_75 So I should start buying parts for the 'ol EL and tell the mrs thats what I'm spending on smokes... So to break that down start doing a carton a day, then buy a turbo kit at the end of the year and say that is so I don't smoke next year?... I'ma do it...

I had been getting good at cold turky then the cravings would bite me on the **** and I would give in, I know its lame and sounds like I'm making excuses but hey atleast I can admit the fault right *time to have another one*

I too have found myself wondering why I spend so much money on smokes. I'd have snap ons finest if it weren't for the smokes. Oh well. At least I hardly drink..

Coming upto 9 years now smoke free. Cold Turkey, never had a relapse. With a child about to come into the world, it was a good time to think of the future as the future was coming in 6 months time. So we made the decision, took the step and haven't looked back. You gotta think of the positives in life. Smoking is not one of them.

I am not any authority on this because I haven't smoked for almost 10 years, and my last cigarette was just before I was 17 (Marlboro 12s), but best wishes to anybody trying to quit.

I know people who do smoke, and their fitness is not as good as some (I play tennis), and they KNOW they should quit. If you think you should, then it's definitely worth it.

I quit 6 months ago. I'd smoked for about 14 years and knew I had to quit when I started smoking more and more every day. I didnt want to smoke anymore, but I didnt want to quit either (quitting sucks and is too damn hard). So, I tried champix and had excellent success!! I heard the other week that champix doesnt work for everyone but god am I glad it worked for me. I am thrilled to bits being a non smoker (finally!!!!).

Smokers will give themselves any excuse in the world (i dont want to quit, I'll quit next year, etc etc) but the fact is, no smoker wants to go through the crappiness that is quitting and they will say anything to avoid it. At the end of the day I say trying to quit is better than continuing to smoke as you never know what might work.
