Default Power from a 32/36

How much power have people achieved with a standard Weber 32/36 - either modified or stock. I've read pleanty about theoretical values but they're just that - theoretical. I have a feeling they have a fair bit of potential. Feel free to share your experiences.

gday
I too can see a potential for good street power out of the 32/36 weber,(with the right cam and head work on a pinto 2ltr) and it has been said it can produce(modified of course) similar power than that of the twin 40s, with way less fuel consuption so have a read of http://www.turbosport.co.uk/forum.php and http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...ies-from-32-36

I have a set of 40mm dellorto's on the shelf and a 38 dgvs(mechanical sec) coming for my Rs2000 but I just love the easy starting and drive ability of the 32/36 ,besides I have a few of them to play with so why not.
and 140hp at the fly is around its limit which isnt bad

happy modifying

cheers

I think the factory manifold will be the most limiting factor in power production. Nothing much you can do to them but round the short turns and clean them up.

yep,it is limiting but not as bad as some of the single side draught manifolds,
I have match ported one of mine and radius from the carby mount down into the runners, its hard to say weather its improved performance with out back to back dyno test but Im happy with the throttle response.
