Very nice and just so hard to do them propper justice.
Great to see some nice model bikes as well.
displaying them side on and 3 deep on different levels actualy takes up less space than the way your mate does it.
added benefit is more of the car is visible.

His plans for the proper shed display sound good. All cabinets to keep dust down but easily opened at the front for a closer look. All cabinets lit inside with small flouros so you aren't throwing a shadow on them.

That will look awesome then. There's even a Ford Transit van in the same racing livery as the Escort it's towing on a trailer. Lot of good stuff there.

WOW! that is sensational - such a great range of cars as well, not just your usual Ford or Holden based collection

Love the mirrored section next to the makeshift bed on the floor too :hihi: :

I have a mate that has this same disease.

His house is full of models. His lounge-room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms plus a small room at the back of his house are a bit like your Bro in Law's collection. I must get some pics of his and post.

Thanks for adding these pics here, I will have to show my mate he isn't the ONLY person with his affliction.

Just to update, my bro-in-law sent me some pics (few months ago) of the dedicated model room he has built in his shed to hold the collection.

He tells me it is now stocked and finished and crammed full. I haven't gotten up to Canberra lately, so I'm awaiting the pics he has so I can post them here.

But here are the pics of the finished room before the whole collection was moved in.

Notice the copius powerpoints (at least 4 doubles) for the lighting of display cases.

I must get up there again soon for a more thorough look over his collection.

i'm not particularly impressed by diecast models. you buy them and stick them on the shelf and only proves how fat his wallet was. now, model KITS is where you have apply some skill and time to put them together and paint them yourself.
