Default Car Transport - Hobart to Melbourne?

Thinking about buying a particular car at the Auctions in Hobart tomorrow.

At this stage i am not sure whether to fly in and drive it to Devenport, put it on the ship to Melbourne then drive back to Adelaide, or whether to just put it on a car carrier and then fly to Melbourne for pick up and drive back to Adelaide.

Car will be unregistered, but i have a trade plate or can get a permit

Questions -

How much will it cost to put a car on the ship from Devenport to Melbourne?

Does anybody know a car carrier that does the regular trip from Hobart to Melbourne - and any idea on the cost?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Rocket.

car on the spirit is about $70
then there is you, a seat (not a bed) will cost you about $75
a shared cabin will be about $100
your own cabin will be about $250

Toll do a freight service every night from Devenport to Melbourne at a fraction of the cost of the Princess and you get a good nights sleep and arrive fresh as a daisy . Done it a few times and cant recommend it highly enough .
