Default Tom Cruise drove an F1 car! And he's good!

I am amazed. Not only that red Bull let him do it, but the fact that he is actually quite good at it.

tom cruise *************** was fast because there was no one to compare him to. buying your way into a drive is no way to prove yourself.

He took out the top place on the TGUK SIARPC segment a few seasons ago, so he must be a pretty decent driver.

looked at the top gear clip, Cruise looks immortally young, but is almost as old as me....I want the gear he's on!

only an 11 sec improvement over 24 laps? his first flying lap would have would almost certainly have been achingly slow.

i doubt he was any good at all. the video only showed him taking a few sweeping bends and some straights... no hard cornering or braking, probably with good reason.

would rather have seen patrick dempsey, who does actually have some racing chops.

This is true, but Mr Bean chopped him by 2 seconds
(2 seasons later and granted atkinson does some racing)
