Default Facelifted Jaguar XF - super efficient

http://www.jaguar.com/nz/en/xf/
http://www.jaguar.com/nz/en/xf/speci...ricing/engines

So here's the facelifted XF with massive price reductions in the N.Z. market (Aust distributor to follow surely ?), as much as $40,000 lower for the XFR and new technology such as the ZF Sachs 8 speed auto, super efficient new diesel 2.2engine with fuel efficiency of only 5.4 litres per 100 km's, new styling, adaptive suspension on many models and new stereo's including one of the world's most stunning the 1200 watt Bowers and Wilkens 17 speaker system from the XJ and all for prices starting from as little as $N.Z. 90,000, so should be cheaper in Aus. Does this car, its European style, class, efficiency with its substaintial price reductions throw the "cat" amoungst the pigeons ?

P.S. I'm not associated with Jaguar N.Z. in any way whatsoever nor do I own one, but I'm starting to dream that I'd like too.

Are you affiliated with ZF at all?

The XF to me is the best luxury sedan going around, absolute magic in the metal.

No LOL. Purely coincidental that I've been talking about the 8 speed on the SC section. I see the super efficient 2.2 diesel has an overboost function for 30 seconds providing a 30nm boost to torque. 140 kw's up to 480 nm's of torque and 5.4 litres per 100 km's, technology at its finest to go with a brilliant car ? I've driven both the 600nm diesel and the XFR, XFR with its adaptive dynamics and trick adaptive diff and Bowers and Wilkens stereo is a truly stunning peice of kit.
New importer bringing them in with low mileage direct from England, 2010 XFR for $99,990 anyone ? to me that's very good value for a vehicle with such an incredible reputation and I'll be having a look when it arrives that's for sure.

The new model looks like absolute automotive pornography to me

$78.990 doesn't look to bad for the "base" model, if you can call it that.

far cry from the xj6 models of the 70s, 4.2 litre petrol engine putting out about 130kW and about 10-15mpg. (28-19L/100km), v12....measured in gallons per minute.....

Still very expensive considering that 50K in the States gets you the V8 model.

Nice facelift there and those price reductions are kinda nuts.

Price reductions are exchange rate driven and are still woefully insufficient for how much the Australasian currencies have appreciated against the U.K. Pound. Having said that they are very competitive with the retail price of the other Euro's though and are by far the best looking IMO.

Looking forward to seeing one in the metal.
