Default What sort of part is it?

Im looking at the front end of my falcon after I collided with a speed sign!! Im replacing a radiator, air conditioning condenser and that other small thing that when i pulled it out, oil came out of it. It is another cooling device of some form. When you look at the car, it is on the left hand side right infront of the condenser.

What is it so I can get another one!!

Accumulator/Receiver Dryer? Round thing with 2 pipes and a sight glass?

Your best bet is a Auto Electrics joint that does AirCon's. Once you break the seal on these things, you need a new one, never a secondhand one.

would it be an oil cooler for the auto tranny ?

looks like a small radiator with inlet and outlet pipes that run back to the gearbox. usually fitted aftermarket to bypass the standard oil cooler that is inside the normal engine coolant radiator. should be able to pick up a new one at most parts shops. they are not car model specific.

Or a small cooler for power steering as quite a few Fords of that era had fitted.

Oil? Ummm

Oil as in engine oil or oil as in transmission/ power steering oil?

Is it a cooler or just a pipe?

Pretty sure the EB just ran a U shapped pipe as a power steering cooler.

Transmission cooler would be probably be aftermarket.

If you follow the lines connected to it, it will tell you what its for.

Just go into the camera settings under resolution/photo quality and change it to the smallest setting, usually .3 mp then you can upload it direct using your aff allocated space.

i'd say dave351cid is on the money. sounds like trans cooler to me. is the car optioned with towbar? back then, if you optioned the towbar i'm pretty sure the car got a extra external tranny cooler.

dryer is on the right hand side.
