Default Brake pad upgrade WS Zetec Fiesta

I am looking at upgrading to a set of EBC 'Black' Pads, an entry level sporting pad (the 'Reds' seem unnecessarily high performance for my needs) - Has anyone any experience with these on a Fiesta? They were recommended by a motorsport supplier I was talking with at an event as an appropriate pad upgrade for occasioal track use etc- I've done a little research and they seem sound enough, compared with OEMs, which are another popular brand.
Thanks in advance.

At 40K I had the rotors replaced with an rda brand and bendix heavy duty pads at a brake specialist. A big improvement on standard, a lot less dust to clean off the 17s and this was a third of the price that Ford was asking. Was also told this combo should be good for a lot more than 40Ks

See if QFM make the HPX pad for the WS Fiesta, they're on par/slightly better than Bendix Ultimates, except very low dust, they're aimed at street, so no warm up needed for good braking performance, but are good for ocasional track use too.

Here is a link to their site:

I got mine for my Falcon from a sponsor here, Race Brakes Sydney.

I've got TRW Pads fitted with slotted DBA rotors ... big improvement in repeat braking performance under load, there is far less fade and the pads are less dusty ...

Only trade-off is that being performance pads, they have a higher metal content and are prone to squeal a bit, particularly when cold.

Have finally fitted REMSA pads. Purchased through GSR Rallysport (pleasure to deal with). Most pleasant surprise is that pedal feel has become more detailed, more progressive, and much easier to modulate heavy braking. Very pleased. Thanks all.
