It's either your clock spring or a loose connection under the seat. Pay attention to how many times it flashes. It'll probably be a sequence of 3 then a pause then followed by 2 if it's an open circuit on the drivers side. It'll do this 3 times in a row then go to fixed on.

Does that sound like what yours is doing?

No its a Au Xr8 into MK3 Capri project and I cant use the AU seats which leaves me with 2 pretensioner looms unplugged.I need to fool the computer into thinking that its plugged in.

Ah, ok, sorry....

Can't you just strip the wiring and associated hardware from the AU seats and plug them in to the loom and hide them somewhere?

Yea tried that but no go but I noticed that one buckle has 2.4ohms resistance but the other has 24.5 but I still get error codes for both. The donor car was crashed so I replaced the air bag, crash computer, clock spring and passenger side buckle.Looks like a dodgy buckle from the wreckers but I still get codes for both using the FORscan tester.I just know I'm going to get hammered if I take it to an auto elect.Do you know anyone in the Sydney area that's any good.I dont want to hear "sorry cant fix it and here is your bill for our labour!!.

Um, from memory there's little resistor blanking connectors that came in some cars for the side airbags... Just look in BA XT's, they're yellow in colour and connect under the side of the seat.

Hi. Are you using any of the airbags (pass side or steering wheel) ? If not maybe you could remove the led from the dash. Cheers MD

Yea might try wreckers for a couple,Ford want $94 each but I tried some 2.5ohms resisters in both but no go, maybe they have to be the exact rating as the blankers, 3.7 I think. Its so frustrating after doing the full XR8 into Capri project over 2 years to be stumped by a warning light!.But what the engineer wants the engineer gets! or no rego.

Yea Hi Michael, looking at the dash pod when I was building the car the lights are all internal, no bulbs to pull out,I don't think I would like to be in there cutting leds. And with all the hassle to fit the Au column and bag and ABS system I want it to work.Cant have too much safety in a 82 Capri, seeing they had nothing!.

Hi. Maybe go back to an airbag controller that was made for a wheel only system (EF/EL?) and not the pre-tensioners or pass side bags. On a side note, when BA dash and steering are used in the DRB540 kit car the airbags have to be disabled as the car wasn't designed to have an airbag (no roof and windscreen not structural so nothing to retain inflated bag in the right place to work). Cheers MD
