Default Re: Self defence for kids

I have taught Tae kwon do (foot fist way) for @15 years so a little bit biased but its good for kids they learn much more than self defence if tought the traditional way. Respect, honour and dicipline easy taught the more you talk out of turn the more push ups you get they catch on real fast. Fitness is another area of improvement. Good basic self defence through to Blackbelt then you start to learn more advanced stuff.

For youngsters look at Rhee taekwondo, (no competitions) classes everywhere and Master Rhee does all the gradings that is an experience in its self.

Adults would prefer ITF as its more tournament oriented (inter club, national and international competitions) and more philosophical in its approach.
