Hi all.
Thought it was time I said g'day. I've owned 2 fords now. The first was a 2002 BA XR6 N/A I bought when it was only 2 years old with 170,000km on the clock. It was an ex Telstra exec car. Lots of k's but I got it for a good price back then. I had it converted to gas & it was a great car. I sold it a year ago with 360,000k's on it & it was still going strong. I had seen a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo with only 90,000km & like new condition for $10,000 so I bought that & sold the old one. This one has a vapour injected gas system & it goes just as well on gas as on petrol. It so far has been a good car & I only hope it goes as well and for as long as the old one. I was always a Holden man before these 2 Fords & many years ago I owned a VH Charger. I wish I still had that sitting in the shed! It has been good to read these forums & getting other peoples opinions on different topics about their cars. Cheers for now, Dave |

turbo timers are designed to let the engine idle down for a pre determined time to allow continued oil flow if your turbo bearings are hot and you take away oil flow suddenly you will eventually have bearing failure and ruin the turbo its not a big issue if you are just idling around town but if you were cruising at 100 towing your trailer or van (or hooning around) your turbo works hard and needs to be cooled down before shutting off I don't have one on the f6 yet so I sit and let it cool first b4 shutting it down my diesel navara had one from new

Hi People! my name is Mike and own an old 93 XG Ute which I cannot part with so constantly repairing and keep driving! it recently took me to Darwin and back to Cairns!
I am now trying to buy some door locks for it and have been told they are the same as ED and they will fit (both being 93 models?) Can someone please confirm with me if this is correct before I go spending big bucks on Ebay buying locks Cheers, Mike |

G'day, New to this forum. I joined up to discuss and find out more about some old race gear that I have, Apparently quite rare. I also have a nice old truck 75 F100. Born into a ford family my first car was an XW ute, Had several F100's, Went through the XF/XG phase and an AU only to find I like my old truck the most for a daily driver . In the family we also have a XB couple done as a Drag car, And my ol man is doing a 75 F250 dual wheel which has a 6 litre Turbo Isuzu and a 6 speed. Anyhow I wanted to post up about the XE 192540 4 bolt GF Block I have, And also nice set of old alloy heads E2ZM 6090 A3.
For some reason I can not start a new thread so im not sure where the discussion goes from here but maybe someone can help me out. Cheers |

Hi Guys i'm new to the forum, look forward to reading up on all the info you guys provide.
Just wondering i'm not sure how to start a new thread? I wanted to ask about my throttle response sensor on my NL fairlane it has the 5L Windsor, it runs fine but maybe once a week on start up the revs jump around a bit at idle an once she warms up theres no dramas, the mechanic put the scanner on the computer an it came up with the throttle position sensor error..... have you guys had this problem? is it worth fixing at the moment (money is tight atm) any info on this guys would be great cheers |

I drive a 1999 Ford AU Station. Drives like the day one after all the years. Love it and wouldn't change it for anything. Thank you for this great forum.

Hi, I am seriously thinking about a 2013 Falcon FG Mk11 G6E EcoLPI for the wife after someone wrote off her 4wd. Need something large for the kids and country cruising, and 4wd's too expensive to run. My first ever car was a 1978 Ford Escort sedan 2L auto with vinyl roof. Classic. Hope any new Ford is as reliable.

Near the top of the page on the left hand side and just above the heading 'Threads in Forum' there's a button labelled 'New Thread' . Click on that and you're away

Hi there, I'm new to this, but could someone give me a little help as I am stumped. I have an 'AU ute 2000 model' on dedicated gas, that had been sitting for 2 weeks, went to start it and all I got was click click click battery is fine as I tried to jump start it with the Rav 4 and got the same thing, a rapid click click click. Bench tested the starter motor and it was dead as shown no sign of life when jumped. So put a new starter motor in but get the same thing click click click, yet when the keys are on and I jump the starter motor it will start. Swapped the starter relay around with other ones that are the same and still get the same response 'Click Click Click'!!! Can any one please help me?

The Rav battery might not have enough amps to do any good (especially if using elcheapo jumper leads). I'd be taking the battery out and getting it tested.

The Rav starts the AU fine when I hot wire the solenoid on the starter motor, just won't start it when trying to start by the ignition just get the 'click click click'. And now that I have had the AU battery on a trickle charge for a few days it seems to be holding its charge as it will now start the ute but only when hot wire the starter motor.

Hi folks, my name is Harry. My present ride is 2005 BA Ser 11 RVT Ute. I hope to be able to share some good news stories in the future. I am brand new to this forum thing, so if I do something wrong, it is not intentional. After all I am 66 years old so what would you expect. Have fun and thanks for the invitation. Harry. |
