Which is why the scaremongering media and "storm chasers" need to watch what they say, it panicks the sheeple. Going back to why I say the media and "storm chasers" need to be either censored or silenced, if you dont know what you're doing, dont panic half the damn state, STFU!

Is it really scaremongering though? It's not like they were saying there might be a cyclone.
There WAS a cyclone off the coast of Brisbane and travelling west. Yes, I agree that media does largely need censoring because they do go over the top. My folks are in SE Queensland. They are happy it didn't eventuate like the worst case predictions. So am I, for all their sakes.

How you guys saying Brisbane dodged it? I'm looking at the radar right now, and looks like Brisbane is about to cop the full brunt of it in the next few hours, late Saturday afternoon, just as they have been predicting.
Its actually looks worse for Brisbane compared to the other day. Earlier it looked like the eye was going to go through Brisbane, or just south. But the cyclone stayed out to sea, and has travelled a bit further north. So now Brisbane is going to cop the bottom part of the cyclone which is worse. |

North of Brisbane, and 20-25km west of the where the low currently is, we have only copped 23mm of rain today. The wind has been keeping the moisture out to the east and south, but as it weakens, we will no doubt get that rain tending to drift towards us, and we'll cop a few wet days.

Family has a beef cattle property in the Lockyer Valley. Creeks are all flooded. Warrego highway affected. Sure, there's been worse floods but it doesn't make it any less real this time.
