It is the best engine Holden NEVER!!!! made (Nissian RB30). IMO it's one of the best engines they've used, and the fact that it isn't their's is why I have that saying in my sig. (I love the one in my VL) Sorry to swing off topic. Just needed to clear up that little confusion. |

Hey Peoples - just joined - have had Fords all my life. I have owned Fords since I was 17 and although of late I have been out of the car "scene" as such I still have a major passion for the blue oval. Currently drive a BA Fairlane which is sweet as. I have had the following over the years......XE Panel Van, XA 302C 4 Door, XBGT Coupe (my pride and joy that I sold a few years back - boo hoo), Capri XR2 Turbo (wife still has) and the BA Fairlane. So G'day all!

Hi Gang, I'm Jimbo and am a newbie. This is a grouse site......I have a EF Fairmont wagon and am getting itchie to maybe upgrade to a AU III Fairmont Wagon as you cant get them in a BA or BF....thge best you can do is a Futura.
Someone said you can replace the ICC (command centre) which is really what I want, the dual zone aircon etc and kind of bring it up to almost Fairmont specs!.......bears thinking about. Anyway nice to be here, thanks one & all Jimbo T |

Past Fords I have owned have been an XC, XH Outback Ute (probably my favourite) ED XR8 & now have just bought a well looked after EF XR8. Hopefully the pics I attached will be there...so I hope you like it!...cheers |

G'day all, Tim from Melbourne. Fantastic forum, good for a laugh, great for info. I'm a huge FORD fan, had Aussie fords all my life includeing a XB GS coupe and 460bb landau. I've just bought a nice XB fairmont coupe (hope the pic came through) and will have plenty of questions to ask all you well informed folk about factory stuff. Anyway, it's great to see so many other ford fans out there and I'm looking forward to chatting to many of you.
Ford for Bathurst 07. Tim. |

Hey hey im new to this forum and still finding my way around but thought i would introduce myself.
Im a 18 year old student from perth and ive had a love of old falcons ever since i knew what a car was as dad had a 1975 XB John Goss Special. He sold the XB when i was about 6 but it is now a dream of mine to one day own one. But anything from a XA to a XC two door would make me happy. I also have a love of 1965-1970 mustangs. a mates uncle bought himself a left hand drive 302 '66 'stang a while ago and i was lucky enough to get to take it for a cruise around town. i was dribbling. maybe its just an adolescent dream but one day i aim to own either a early model aussie two door falcon or an american muscle mustang...maybe both |

Hey all. My second post actually, but anyway.
Have an ED XR6 at the moment, with some mods. Currently shopping for a BF XR8 Ute and I'm very close to having one. Have been a Ford man for as long as I can remember, but I'm not one-eyed and can appreciate any car provided it's well looked after and the owner isn't a : ... Have actually been a bit of a lurker here for a few years, just never posted. And forgot my old login, so made this one recently. Been enjoying the amount of info on here. Heaps of advice and piccies that make it a truckload easier to decide on what I'm doing with my own car. Cheers to all. Bob |

Looking at restoring my Dad's 71 ZD Fairlane 500. She's a total babe 351 Clev. Want to keep it as original as possible... thought this site would give me some inspiration. Feel free to have a look and make any suggestions you like- they'd be appreciated! First time i've really done anything major with a car so I cant wait til it's done. I will be a proud mum ha ha. Here she is... Give me a yell if you have any thoughts, it'd help me out heaps Thanks!

Hi Guys,
Thought i would take the time to tell a little about myself, and why i joined. I am a Metal Fabricator by trade, and that comes in quite handy when working on cars to modify them. I am in the middle of trading wife in for a better model. I have 3 boys, and they are all trouble, but i love 'em regardless. I joined to find some info about Ford OHC 6. I am in the planning stage of using the abovementioned engine in my Maverick. Just something about pushrod motors in this day and age. Long live the Boss 5.4L Cheers Daz |
