Umm, I think it's that price because it's old and damaged. And still overpriced. |

I'm also old enough to remember XY Falcons with V8's selling for under $2000 in registered very good condition. My wedding car was a friends XY-GT that he bought for $4100 in 1980. It was only that price because it was in exceptional condition and came with a fully retrimmed interior and new paint. Refer to the thread about "Future Classics" on advice of how to peer into the automotive crystal ball...with varying success... |

Edit - scratch that; I was not aware that it was a fatal crash.

Can see why they took it out of the tree now, looks like it was slowly falling out of the tree from the rear.

I think the front end of the actual W427 leaves a lot to be desired, as to why people would want to replicate that look is beyond me, haha.

Driving in Townsville today we saw a black Holden Sportwagon with a Chev badge on the tailgate.
Me: Check out the Chev badge on the Holden - If I had my camera, I'd get a photo for the Fail Thread. She Who Must Be Obeyed (Whos is not across the whole Chev badges on Commodores thing): Why does it have a Chev badge on it? Me: Because it is a fail. SWMBO: But why would they put it on there? Me: Well, if it's a V8, the engine will have been made by Chevrolet and they think that makes it cool to have Chev badges on there. SWMBO: But who was the car manufactured by? Me: Holden SWMBO: So why did they put a Chev badge on it? Me: Because it's a fail. SWMBO: Oh yes, back to the original statement - I see now. Me: HAHAHA |

If I take a pic for this thread:
She says: "why are you taking a pic of that?" I say: "to put in the fail thread" She says: "why?" I say: "because if everyone had your attitude there wouldn't be a fail thread" She says: "you're an idiot" I say: "move your head, I can't quite get the cannon in the pic". Anyone else had that chat? |
