Mowed my back lawn, first time since December last year. This was a personal goal, a statement of physical recovery. The grass filled both my 120 and 240 litre bins. I backed it up with two shopping missions, a full PPE hour-long hospital visit, a bit of housework and breaking down some branches I pruned off last Tuesday. Felt like I’d been reasonably productive after all that.

Previously i mentioned i pre ordered a Tribute build No 351 in Ascot Green with Terracotta interior.
Well after Speaking to Roland one of the head honcho's in Kia's marketting division at the EV6 GT Drive day at Norwell Raceway a few days ago, he has assured us all that NO Tributes will be coming into australia at present. A definite answer wont be available for around 6 months or so, so i dont want my deposit back just yet. However it would be good to know the facts around this decision. Why does this make me feel good? Because i could only keep one of these things and i would find it very difficult letting this one go at present... |

Ummm because the inner child in me is having a bit of difficulty running it in softly with over 500hp under my foot.
And the noise under boost once the bypass valves are open... the seat bolsters tighten when you put it in Sport (Map2 on my tune box) as if to dare you to push it further. I will do a cold remote start video tomorrow and try to link it for you guys to hear what a glorious note this thing has, but i don't think i have been able to post videos for years ? |

It's 12 months since my best mate left us so today we went down to Brissy to spend the day with his widow and daughters.
We spent the whole day telling stories about him and our antics when we were younger. I don't think any of us has laughed so much in the last year. |

partners car is back from the detailer looking better than new.
my car should be done next weekend and I'm expecting a massive improvement from how it looks now. Also finally getting my gardens sorted after 5 or 6 years in the house - it would have been done today but bunnings ran out of plants and I ran out of funding lol

Saw a few people in faded HRT jackets at the Grand Prix. Not the 888 HRT but the real Walkinshaw HRT. "Holden, we're still here". Bwahahahaha.

I finally got around to cleaning the house. It has never been particularly bad but it always feels better after putting the effort in
I'm hoping to get around to cleaning my car this long weekend as that is well over a year since I last cleaned it |

…One of my car batteries failed on the tester today, DIN55H now at only 64% of nominal 530 CCA. Starts and runs the car fine, but you wouldn’t rely on it after a couple of days not using.
I’m feeling good because it’s lasted almost exactly six years. It’s some obscure Turkish brand that I got from an iffy place which since closed down. At the time of purchase I thought the sellers were having a lend of me on price ($270 IIRC) but it’s proven decent value over time. |

Reading about Bud Light sales falling. Get woke, go broke. And this is not lip service. For three decades I shaved using Gillette products. For the last four years I have been shaving using a Schick razor.

Resisting the Metallica leaks, resisting FOMO.
New album drops tomorrow with a preview listening party tonight in cinemas. Seats are central, I am ready. |

The very, very old nylon bushes on my T bar in the XC disintegrated last week.
Got some new ones from Rare Spares, fit perfectly, no more sloppy shifter. I hate a sloppy shifter, got to be firm and move smoothly on the box.
