I saw the front, it's actually a VY kit on it and if you look closely you can see Clubsport badges there on the side skirt too...

Walked past a dark blue early model WRX in Rockhampton today, and wondered what was wrong with the aftermarket boot spoiler. It stuck up nearly as high as the roof, and then I realised it...it had an adjustable wing, and he had cranked the angle right up, even adding a couple of little alloy plates each side for extra holes to crank it up further, so it was facing the breeze like a damn air brake, probably around 60 to 75 degrees upright.

Damn me for leaving my camera phone in the car...

There's a lot right with that photo...the body kit looks good (even if it doesn't quite match the body curves in a few places like the boot lid bottom edge), the contrasting green looks pretty nice as well, the wheels suit it...but there's also a lot wrong. Chev badges on what is probably a six cylinder (being only an "S"), the really urgent need for a camber kit in the back end of that series one (the VX Series 2 had a factory camber kit and the wheels didn't look like a forty year old VW Beetle from the rear )...a little bit extra thought and it'd be fine.

West Tigers nutter

You can't see it but his rims are orange with black stripes painted on, and in the middle hum is WEST and TIGERS on the outside of the rim.
And yes, that's aluminium foil over the side mirrors

Spotted twice in Newtown and once Leichardt

I agree, get rid of the chev badge and it wouldn't be too bad. Not good either tho. Just not a fail.

Except it has a body kit from the wrong model car, and is a V6 posing as a clubsport...

I remember my dad had an old hilux, you could start it, and then take the key out and leave it running.

You can do that with our old EA wagon (ever since mum stuffed the ignition barrel up somehow).
You need to have serious skills to start it with the key though (you have to change the angle with your thumb, hard to explain).

Because putting a shaker on a BA is a fair comparison to putting a bodykit from a different model that has a completely different shape. (VY clubsport kit on a VX S pack...)

A fair comparison would be putting a BA GT kit on an XR6...

here's a bit of a failtastic falcon. he says is a project, but something about it just looks wrong. it's a ba futura with xr6 parts, mismatched wheels, red front bar with orange stripes on flat black hood.

Forget the body kit guys, my main beef with this car was that it has an S badge AND a Clubsport badge on the skirt below the rear passenger door. That and the horrible colour... and it's a shame I didnt get a photo of the front... think VY kit shoddily moulded around VX headlights.
