The car fails because he can't afford to paint the panels. The guy himself doesn't necessarily fail (although it is likely seeing as he drives a commo...).

Care to share the proposal story, if its a car fail we're in the right thread

My point is that the reason why the panels are all different colours is irrelevant, the fact is the panels are different colours and therefore it fails, sorry to all you bleeding hearts out there who assume he cant afford to do it (maybe he just can't be stuffed).

Stop having a cry about it and get on with the fails for **** sake.

Here, have a fail on me.

I've had this ding for about 4 and half months and still haven't gotten it fixed.

Why?

A.) Because it's expensive
B.) It doesn't effect how the car operates
C.) I can't be stuffed taking time off work and going around and getting quotes right now. I have better things to do.

Happy? No? Don't care. Get on with it!

It would cost roughly 2 grand to paint the front...it's not as easy as buying a Big Mac....

Well, anyway, me and my missus went off on a holiday up north (Evans head) and do a day trip to Byron Bay, i thought this would present its self as a great opputunity to propose, at the iconic light house.

So, on this morning we hopped in the car and made our way up, and thought we will get the lighthouse done first. Now, if you been to Byron Recently you would know that the lighthouse road is reduced to one lane due to a land slide. So im sitting there, and the temp needle is rising, i thought no biggy it got from tamworth to Evans Head alright. Still the needle rises as we near the lighthouse, couldn't turn back, no room to pull over.

Get to the carpark, and the warning light beep, S*** i thought...park the car and turn it off... Bang! Radiator blows the end tank off. Cue cranky missus "Stupid car, its going etc"

This changed the plans, instead of walking out to the most easterly point, i proposed next to my stricken car (I really think my car sensed what i was doing and chucked a spas...)

And of course she said yes, towtruck came and we spent the day in byron waiting for the car to be fixed. $700 later and we were on our way back to the hotel. Problem? Thermo fans packed it in...

Move on to today and my fiance has forgiven my car (sorta) and plans are to get married 2013...

I think thats a good car fail story haha....

And that's the story of how his E series is better than a B series.

(seriously though, interesting read.)

That's your standard hot-rod aftermarket billet tilt-adjust steering column...you see adverts for them anywhere hotrod stuff is for sale in, say, Just Cars or something. Top end models "swing away" like that automatically when the door is opened to allow easier access to the drivers seat.
