Hi Guys

Just arrived home from Melbourne. Passed a lovely black BA (heading to Melbourne) with the plate ORSM8. Not sure who it was. No time to wave as we were both moving.......so to speak!

Caught up with Theo at Chris's and Craig serviced my car - 30,000km one. He changed all the oils etc and the baby is purring. Had a great trip and was VERY reluctant to come home.

Glad your Deca day went well.

Cheers
Gaela

Hi Tony

Car looked great as it came towards me. I had a much quicker trip over - left at 3am on the Sunday morning (a week ago) and was in Melton in 6hrs and 6 mins. That is the best time of the week to travel. Nothing on the road and I cruised over very easily. Coming home was the pits - masses of traffic and a huge accident at Tintinara which lost me about 1/2 hour. I'd rather the 1/2 hour than be involved in it though. Looked a fatal one. Highway was closed and they detoured us on a hidious shingle road with big potholes.

It was nice to see a car I could relate to.

Glad you are also home safely.

Cheers
Gaela

I have put together a DVD with all the videos and pics I took. Will bring some copies down on Wednesday. Ill bring a laptop with a dvd player in it also if people wanna have a look.

Provked : Glad you had fun, loved your runs, I think I have one of your runs on video also and maybe one of the VX. Id like a copy of the videos also, so if you could pass one onto Theo I'd appreciate it.

I am seriously looking at that option, Tony and it was discussed this past week. Have all my family there plus my best mate, so it is looking very likely.

May get to do a few shows with you after all!

Cheers

Hi Ron,

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you...

the fastest times were:

LHS skidpan - 32.72
RHS skidpan - 29.06
Back Track - 50.27

I am not sure how Justin is working out the winner this year, but from memory, the way the winner was determined last year is ALL times (so the 3 runs on each one) are added and the lowest time wins......

Cheers,

thanks for that.
we had our club meet on wed night & at that stage it was down to 4 cars for the win on the day, Cooky, Doug, Dave Seckold & myself
times should be close, if it was fastest runs only i think cooky will be about half a sec quicker than me
i think from memory i finished 5th last year, not bad considering i only had the car 3 weeks & it had 1300ks on it & it was my first motorkahna, needless to say this year with the car run in i was able to go harder

hmmm, pity I wasn't quicker on the back track and the wheezer didn't get sleepy on one run, might have had something to brag about. :

i know what you mean AUXRVIII, the lhs of the skid pan was my weak run(s), just didn't get it right, maybe trying to hard & i was using my handbrake which was slowing me down, i used it for my first run on the rhs & then stopped using it & gained 1sec+
i prob should of been 1.5 - 2 secs quicker on the lhs, oh well always next time
