A compulsory vehicle inspection is necessary prior to any on track event.
Each vehicle must comply with a maximum noise level of 95 dB(A) measured 30 metres from the side of the track. Please note this will be strictly enforced. as if :
Similar to the conditions that apply for circuit racing, entrants who have lost their probationary or full license can still enter.
Learner Permits are not permitted.
No unreasonable body damage or untidy paint work. No holes in the firewall.
For the Burnouts, Burnout Masters, Cruising, Street Drags, Go to Whoa and Stampede, a 360 degree tail shaft loop must be fitted. The exception being vehicles fitted with a 2 piece tail shaft.
Long sleeve pants and shirts must be worn during Burnouts and Street Drags. Shoes must be worn at all times. No thongs or sandals allowed.
Please remove all press on hub caps and wheel trims prior to vehicle inspection.
A helmet which complies with Australian Standard 1698 or higher must be worn for Street Drags and Burnouts.
Each vehicle must be fitted with a fire extinguisher which complies with Australian Standard 1841.
No re-grooved tyres are allowed for the Street Drags or Burnouts. If a competitor uses retreaded tyres he or she automatically accepts responsibility for any body damage.
For the Burnout Masters (by invitation only) numbers will be restricted to 10 vehicles and be timed over 1.5 minutes. For the Burnout Final, numbers will be restricted to a maximum of 50 entrants timed over 1 minute, plus any invitees as determined by the Promoter provided they are not in the Burnout Masters.
Vehicles do not need to be registered to participate in any driving events but must be capable of passing a vehicle inspection.
Motorcycles are not eligible to enter the event.
Convertibles must have a roll over protection bar.
Entries will close at 5:00 pm Friday 3rd April and will be restricted to 700 vehicles. All entries must be accompanied by a photograph. In order to avoid disappointment, you must pre-enter.

No one in particular, but, as far as I know, we have almost 50 members and there are only 20 something on this list. Granted that there are the ones who have to work and I know that can't be helped.

I went and had a look today - stacks of cars there............. going to be a Fun Day

Remember the road in Sandown Race Track is classified as a Public Road - once you get behind the gates to the Race Track you can mis-behave

Not really meant to misbehave. The Show'N'Shine cars arent allowed to go flat out as they wont have tailshaft loops, extinguishers, etc. Its more 6 "parade" laps.
Great to see there letting them out on the track though, full marks to organisers!

Who said anything about going flatout?? plus this is NOT what this club is about anyway..
We show our cars, cruise with our car and dont thrash or trash our cars

proberly cos they want to fit in with the rest of the wa**kers who run them.....

plus there is a big difference between thrashing and performance driving, not that you would know that.

I'll be running the EB GT's so show wheels, im just parading around. It still will be good to say i've done laps of Sandown at Easternats no matter how fast we go .

Having stockies will be fun but if something happens to the car, its my only 1 and it will be a massive pain in the **** to get around.

How did it all go. Apparently the weather here in Melbourne was far better than in Queensland so i'm guessing the show and shine went off.

Any standouts?
