All jokes aside, I think this will be a useful thread for people who wish to lower their focus in the future!

My verdict thus far:

Looks only - King SL's
Decent Looks and Decent Performance - Eibach
Performance and Looks - Coilovers

Simple as that. At the end of the day, I wanted the looks because my focus will never be fast

my Eibach springs cost me $380 from EP and that was delivered.

cost $190 to get them fitted, and the $30 for a wheel alignment.

it worked out cheaper that way than going to pedders and getting them to do it.

i would like my car lower, however i must say that my car handles very well now. minimal body roll, and i nice feel on the road. ride quality has stiffened ever so slightly but the handling has improved dramatically.

i think if my car was any lower id have problems with my driveway and general driving around....which i was not prepared to put up with.

Very good points mate. I am steering clear of pedders full stop, never a huge fan of them. No idea why but?

I just really wanted that lower look, and I knew I had to sacrifice other comforts along the way to get it. Something which obviously you did not want to do. I guess each to their own.

Go the eibachs matey, everyones been saying good things about them. Even on other cars besides the focus I've heard nothing besides good feedback. If there was a downside, it would only be that people want more drop in ride height. If you want to save up some more, go the eibach pro-street S. Haven't had any problem with them in terms of ride quality. Some obstacles getting up/down driveways, but awesome none the less. Had them for like 3 months now and cant complain.

edit: woops my bad, forgot that your car was a 2004 focus. I don't think they make eibach pro-street S for them. Just checked EP, and they only sell the KW variant 1 and 2's. Would still feel the same as the pro-street I reckon. Cause the prostreet shocks are made by KW, eibach only supply the springs. Go for the KW's!

You can get Sportline Eibach's for LR Focus.

But will probably still cause camber issues

I really want to see what these guys can do with my suspension. They seem to be real professional workmen, and are a large family run business. So I will wait and see.

Hopefully my SL's don't cause too many problems, if not I will be taking them back! Haha fingers crossed

I have the Kings Sl's coupled with 24 mm whiteline swaybars and NOTHING goes around me through corners. Guys from work have actually commented on how flat it is when they they have followed me. No real probs with speed humps but there is a bit of good navigating to be done in driveways etc.... oh, plus a good set of Potenzas help.

I have lowered mine 2 inches and it does sit nice. There is a bit of camber on the rear but nothing wrong with that makes it look better.

i've got some tame R-spec tyres in the shed if you want to play corners

But seriously...if all you want is a low car, get the SLs, but I'd steer clear personally. They won't be terrible, and on a budget it's as low as you're going to get, but if you really hanker for that dumped look, I'd get some coilovers (good ones!)

That said, I trust Wilkos, I've never known anyone to have a bad run with them, extremely knowledgeable and professional, if they've worked out a way around the camber, I'm sure it'll be ok. Otherwise, just rotate tyres everytime you service it, you'll eat the outside edge off the front tyres, and the inside off the backs and it'll all work out nicely :P

Oh and in my own opinion, although not having been in a Focus with euro springs i can't see a problem with aussie springs.I'm no metallurgist but if we can build a prospering country in 200 years i think we can build a decent spring. I may stand corrected.
