Why I like the bar.
I think The Bar ( or whatever it is to be renamed) is a great place to come and view some lightheartedness. There have been some great threads over the years. It is also good that there is a NON-AUTOMOTIVE topic area that gives people the opportunity to share a moment or a story with other members. Sourbastard's Night before Xmas is always a great read. There have also been threads where members have welcomed a new edition to their families and are sharing their proud moments. But here is a thread that still makes me laugh: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...light=username Cheers Coll

The Paddock, I'm sure there are a lot of members hang around the paddocks at many events, or maybe The Pits, (not suggesting that a lot of threads end up there!)
As for suggestions regarding changes, I am not long on this forum, but I do feel sometimes there is a lot of competition for the gathering of smilies, and in my opinion only, large numbers of same seems to overinflate some peoples opinions on the veracity of there own posts. Are they totally necessary ?

What about "The Showroom", though that's more for things like photography or Members' cars I guess.
Maybe something like "The Milk Bar" or "The Verandah" instead? Best reason for coming here every night since I joined? The banter and more enjoyable side of life, seasoned with some commiserations for those less fortunate, and as always, it's a haven, somewhere to go to forget your daily boredoms. Recognizing names you see every night, knowing who's got a wicked sense of humour, all without having even met the people involved! It's like having a massive, extended family of brothers, uncles and Dads, and the odd female visitor, LOL! Suits me fine, hope you don't mind if I pull up a chair and sit in on the conversations from now on.... Shazz

I think "The Bar" should be kept because it is where you relax and talk about anything.

"The Back Porch."
That's where you chill out with mates and talk about anything, what's happening in the world, in your street, whatever.
